Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)
Objectives:
EOC is a dedicated body which established to promote inclusivity, diversity, and fair treatment for all students and staff, regardless of their background. Its core aim is to ensure that everyone—especially those from marginalized or under represented communities—gets equal
access to academic and professional opportunities.
Main Functions of an Equal Opportunity Cell:
1. Promote Social Inclusion: Support students from SC/ST/OBC, minorities, women, and differently-abled communities.
2. Address Discrimination: Take up issues related to discrimination or harassment and provide a safe space for redressal.
3. Awareness & Sensitization: Conduct workshops, seminars, and campaigns on equality, Policy Implementation: Ensure that college policies align with UGC and government norms on equal opportunity and affirmative action.
4. Human rights, and anti-discrimination policies.
5. Support Services: Offer counseling, mentorship, financial aid guidance, and career support to students who need it.
